Revitalise the skin with SEPILIFT DPHP

SEPILIFT DPHP™ (INCI: Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline) is a multi-benefit active ingredient with significant anti-ageing properties. Produced by Seppic, this lipoaminoacid hydroxyproline biovector brings anti-ageing, moisturising, firming and restructuring properties to skincare formulations.

SEPILIFT DPHP moisturises skin and smooths away signs of ageing, with its efficacy proven in vivo – 32% reduction of wrinkles versus a placebo. The active ingredient firms skin tissues by stimulating the contraction of collagen fibres and protecting the fibres from enzymatic lysis. It als exerts an anti-free radical action. SEPILIFT DPHP shows multiple modes of action against the markers of skin ageing with its efficacy proven on volunteers when compared to a recognised anti-ageing reference product.

 Anti-wrinkle effect

In vivo protocol saw 20 volunteers with an average age of 56 years, apply a formula containing 1% of SEPILIFT DPHP twice a day on the on the crow’s feet area for 42 days. Study comparisons included a placebo and a market leading anti-ageing lipopeptide. The results were determined using sofware analysis of the number of wrinkles of the volunteers.

 Moisture improvement

In vivo protocol on the face saw 15 volunteers, with an average age of 50 years, apply a formula with 1% of SEPILIFT DPHP on the half face and crow’s feet area for 28 days. Study results were determined by comparing D28 to D0 using a Corneometer. Results also included self-evaluation by volunteers.

In vivo protocol on the lips saw 30 volunteers, with an average age of 56 years, apply a lipstick formulated with 1% of SEPILIFT DPHP on the labial mucous membrane for 15 days. Study results were determined by comparing D15 to D0 using a Corneometer and Evaporimeter.

 Complete action on the dermis

Additional study results have shown that 0.001% SEPILIFT DPHP effectively contracts the collagen fibres by 14%; 0.05% of the active ingredient protects elastic fibres with an anti-elastase effect that offers a 81% improvement in skin’s elsaticity; 0.07% SEPILIFT DPHP provides free radical scavenging benefits, inhibiting superoxyde anion by 85%; and 0.0005% of the active ingredient stimulates the natural anti-age inhibitor TIMP2 by 46%.
